Now that Canthany Rising is off to my editor, it’s time to think about building an ARC team.
“Wait a minute,” you say. “What happened to Canthany Genesis and what’s an ARC team.”
I’ve renamed Genesis to Rising based on a toolbox by Thomas Umstattd, Jr. One of the many tools he built (using AI) takes my manuscript and comes up with titles and subtitles which may resonate with readers based on the content of my story and market trends. The tool came up with dozens of possibles. The top title and subtitle it developed is Canthany Rising – A Christian LitRPG Adventure of Faith and Psionics. I needed something which will spell out what the story it about and I liked it. What do you think?
Now, the ARC team. ARC stands for Advanced Reader Copy. Those that are interested will receive an eBook copy of Canthany Rising a few weeks prior to release. My hope is that all members will read the novelette (approximately 85 pages long) and review it on Amazon, Goodreads and BookBub before release. This is to build up some social proof for the book. The second hope is that all members will be willing to promote my book on their social platform(s). Spread the word.
If you are interested in reading Canthany Rising before anyone else, please reply to this email asking to join the ARC team.
What else is going on?
My website’s front page will be seeing some changes to go along with the upcoming new release. If you haven’t seen it yet, I do have a new cover for The Accident. It will be showing up on the front page along with a placeholder for Canthany Rising.
Writing Progress Report
Canthany Rising is complete and off to my editor, Megan Schaulis. While I wait for her results, I’m working on a new Eric D’Tra’val story and I’m in the planning stages on two more Canthany stories. Assuming I can devote enough time, the Eric D’Tra’val story will be published in September and the first Canthany story in December. These will all be novelette length for now. The plan is to have three in each world and hit the ads harder for each series to draw readers in. Hopefully, God will bless this endeavor.
God Bless you all!

I am a Mathematics and Computer Science degree holder from the University of Michigan-Flint...which has nothing to do with writing. I am also a retired insurance professional of thirty-three years...which barely has anything to do with writing.
